Yoga

Believing in God is not just a head thing. God created us, and that includes our bodies. Later, God took on flesh and bone in the person of Jesus Christ. We reject a view of the body as inferior to the mind/spirit or as “sinful”. We believe that body and mind are two sides of the same coin, both sacred, and that nothing happens on one side only. Yoga is one way of practicing this. By doing yoga we focus on the “body side” which is so often neglected in faith communities. By intentionally breathing, stretching, balancing and building strength, and embracing what happens, we become more whole – physically and spiritually.

We offer a range of classes from Hatha Flow to Gentle Supported. Our yoga students range in age from their twenties to their eighties. Please contact the church office if you are interested or to register for a class.
